The Observatory announced today that applications may be made for free tickets of admission to one (only) of the three "Open Nights" scheduled by sending a self-addressed envelope to "Open Nights," Harvard Observatory, Cambridge, Mass. The number of persons and the night for which admission is desired must be designated. The illustrated lectures begin at 8 o'clock in the evening. There will be opportunity for telescopic observing if the weather is fair.
The lectures are: Wednesday, October 29, "Collossal Stars," by Dr. Cecilia Payne-Gaposchin of the Harvard Observatory.
