8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
Clder and doughnuts was the diet of 91 weary Harvard, Radcliffe, and Wellesley musicians after the University Orchestra's annual evening of sight-reading held last Tuesday evening.
What made them tired was reading through a varied array of compositions which included Beethoven's "Overture to "Egmont." Schnbert's "Unfinished" Symphony, and Mendelssohn's "Fingal's Cave" Overture.
Next major event is scheduled for November 16, when the Orchestra opens its regular fall schedule with a concert at the Pomfret School. This will be followed by the usual joint concert with the Radcliffe Orchestra and Chorus, on November 26. One other concert, at the Putney School, has been definitely scheduled, but the date has not yet been decided on.
