8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
Recently approved by the Corporation as an agency for the control of all matters pertaining to the use of radio within the University, the new University Radio Board has been established with Ralph B. Perry '96, Edgar Pierce Professor of Philosophy, as director, according to the Alumni Bulletin.
This official Board is the outgrowth of the Radio Policy Committee appointed last year by President Conant to discuss questions involved in the use of radio by agencies of Harvard University, which was headed by John C. Baker, then Acting Dean.
After periodic meetings during a year of operation, the committee submitted a report to President Conant this fall analyzing carefully the University's relations with radio at that time, and recommending that a special board be set up to supervise the dissemination of the spoken as opposed to the written word at Harvard.
