Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
Clark Hodder's Freshman hockey team bounced back into the winning column yesterday afternoon when it shut out a Noble and Greenough School six by a 4 to 0 score at Dedham. Unaccustomed to an outdoor rink and low sideboards, the Yardlings did not look as impressive as in previous encounters, but they found little opposition from the schoolboys in chalking up their fourth win of the season.
The Varsity scrimmaged the Junior Olympics in an informal match and came out on the short end of a 6 to 4 count. However, since in a similar encounter before vacation they submitted to a 5 to 0 pasting, it would seem that the trip to Princeton had at least paid partial dividends.
Ted Baker Leads '44 Scorers
Ted Baker took Lyman Bullard's pass for the first Freshman tally in the opening period, and Dave Baldwin put the '44 sextet ahead by a 2 to 0 margin later on when he scored from a pile-up in front of the Nobles' nets. In the second period neither team counted, although the schoolboys, who sorely missed the services of their center, Neddie Harding, spent most of their time bottled up inside their own blue line. Baldwin scored again in the third, and the final Crimson marker was produced by Al Evarts later in the period.
Dick Noone, Prennie Willetts, Gordie McGrath, and Burgy Ayres scored the Varsity's four goals in the Junpic engagement, and goalie Ab Fenn looked much better than usual during the two periods he stayed between the gas pipes. The forward lines still showed a failure to back check consistently, although offensively they demonstrated a little more punch.
