An exceptionally weak Milton Academy basketball five fell before a Yardling team visibly slowed up by the holiday respite yesterday afternoon by a 33 to 19 score.
Center George Burditt was the only Crimson player to retain the heights of the early season session as he accumulated twelve tallies to lead both aggregations in baskets made. Captain Bayburn tied forward Moulton for scoring honors on the home team with six points apiece.
Behind 5 to 19 at the half, Milton tried desperately to overcome the Freshman lead. They were successful only in equalling Harvard's fourteen markers scored in the second half, but the early period attack gave the Yardlings the contest.
In addition to Burditt's scoring and spectacular backboard play, Bill Suyder tallied six points, Dick Elken five, and Don Lutze four. Dillon, Hyde, Hadley, and Baker accounted for Harvard's remaining points. Saturday afternoon the Freshmen meet Exeter in the Indoor Athletic Building.
