Student Artist Has Studied Abroad: Held Previous Showing of Paintings

Howard R. Turner '41 of Adams house and Boston has a collection of his paintings on exhibit at the Pinckney Street Artist's Alliance, a new Boston art gallery.

The alliance was set up by a group of Massachusetts artists, strongly desiring to sell more pictures to more people. To this end the artists have set up a schedule of prices with a $50 top for oil paintings.

Worked Abroad

Turner's paintings include work done in France, Great Britain, Italy, and Switzerland. He studied under George Demetrios and Eliot O'Hara.

Highly regarded among the younger generation of painters he has exhibited in Maine and his works are represented in private collections in Maine. Massachusetts Missouri, New York, Ohio Pennsylvania and Argentina. He has instructed art student at the Elizabeth Peabody House in Boston.

Turner is in charge of the Harvard students art exhibition to be held in March in the Garments Museum.
