A cable supporting the "People's Convention" which is now sitting in London, was sent by the Harvard Chapter of the American Student Union yesterday.
The People's Convention is a group of trade unionists and left wing affiliates in England who are demanding a "people's government" to take the place of the Churchill administration, an immediate peace with Germany involving no reparations or exchange of territory, and who ask for liberation of colonies and subject peoples.
The text of the cable read: "Full support to the English people and especially to the students of England in your people's program for democracy, security, and peace. You are building the England we want to aid."
The New England District Student Union also issued a statement supporting the convention. They said that a "people's government' in England was the only kind of a government which could combat Hitlerism in Europe.
