FRESHMEN HALL FROM MANY STATES AND FOREIGN LANDS

A total of 1,006 new students including 954 new freshmen and 52 transfer students from other colleges, have registered for the year, from 42 states and 11 foreign countries and territories beyond the United States borders, university officials announced Saturday.

All states of the United States are represented among the new men, excepting Nevada, South Carolina, Mississippi, Utah, South Dakota, and Wyoming. The students also come from England, France, Norway, Mexico, Argentina, Japan, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Canal Zone, Bermuda, and Hawaii.
