University to Appoint Advisers For Transfer Students This Year

New System Provides Faculty Help to Men From Other Colleges

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Transfer students, for many years the foundlings of the College, for the first time this fall will be given advisors to help them direct their studies, Dean Phelps announced yesterday.

In previous years the students entering direct from other colleges had to learn the ropes by themselves with no faculty guidance, but this year those of them who are not definitely decided on a field of concentration will be given the same aid as the Freshmen.

In addition to advisors, the students will also have a meeting conducted for their benefit this morning at Harvard Hall, John M. Potter, assistant professor of History, will speak.
