Tennis and Baseball Squads Victorious Yesterday

Both the Freshman tennis and baseball teams came through victoriously yesterday afternoon.

Behind the two-hit pitching of Joe Phelan, the Yardling baseball team shut out Boston Latin 3 to 0 at Solidiers Field.

Coach Dick Dorson's '43 tennis team also hit the win column yesterday, boating Tufts 8 to 1 at Jarvis Field. Taking every match except the number six singles, the Crimson was paced by J. B. Jonkins, T. E. Baker, G. Putnam, J. L. Clarke, and A. F. Hyde. Doubles winners were D. Daniels and Jonkins, T. Sears and Putnam, and A. Fordinand and W. Elson.
