Yardlings Start Petition for Steak Dinner in Union

Weld Hall Originators to Send Letter of Complaint to Aldrich Durant

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Approximately 50 Freshmen have already signed a petition started last night requesting "that a steak dinner be served in the Union between now and the end of the semester."

Addressed to Aldrich Durant '02, business manager of the University, the petition was started by Robert M. Chase '43, E. Jerome Connor '43, and Robert G. Ravdin '43, all of Weld Hall.

In the plea for a steak dinner, the circular says:

"Although this year's diet served in the Union has been both qualitatively and quantitatively acceptable, it is agreed that the menu has suffered from a dearth of variety."
