With Torby Macdonald, injured center-fielder, back in the lineup, the Crimson baseball forces face their three game weekend with renewed optimism.

Captain Tom Healey will draw the mound assignment when the Princeton nine seeks to even the victory score against the Stahlmen this afternoon at 4 o'clock on Soldiers Field. Burgy Ayres, Jack Schwede, or Lou Clay will be the starting fingers when Pennsylvania's last place nine invades soldiers Field for a double-header starting at 2:30 o'clock on Saturday afternoon.

Harvard's ultimate standing in the League race depends largely on how it fares this weekend. So far the nine has a record of one win in four League starts, the only victory being one over the Tigers, 11 to 8, at Nassau in April.

Gil Whittemore, regular Sophomore third-sacker, will be out of both contests with a pulled muscle, and as a result Coach Floyd Stahl is sending Dick Merrill out to the hot-corner. Bob Fulton will be at the receiving post.

Coach Bill Clarke of Princeton will decide at game time between Fred Rowe and Dan Carmichael, both Seniors, for the pitching role. They shared the hurling in the first Bengal game that ended in defeat for the Orange and Black. The outfield will include Bill MacCoy, sensational Sophomores hitter, who is bating in the clean-up position, and Norm Crosby, former Exeter star. Senior Brooks Jones, who is slugging the ball at a lively pace, will do the catching.

The University of Pennsylvania batsmen are led by three football stars of last fall. Batting clean-up and holding down first base will be Harlan Gustafson, the 6 foot, 3 inch, 195 pound end and captain of the football team. Frank Reagan will catch, and Bill Koepsell will play second.
