DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS TO COUNCIL, NEXT THURSDAY

Petition nominating Sophomores and Juniors for the 1940-41 Student Council will be received by Frederick Holdsworth '40 in Eliot K-24 until 5 o'clock next Thursday afternoon, it was announced last night. Elections are slated for Tuesday and Wednesday, May 28 and 29.

Additional nominations will be made by a nominating committee headed by Holdsworth, and including eight Seniors now on the Student Council, and five Juniors and four Sophomores not on the Council. The members of this committee will be announced early next week.

Nomination petitions must be signed by 35 classmates of the nominee. The names of the men petitioned as well as of those picked by the nominating committee will be announced a week from today, and more names may be added by petition until Monday, May 27.
