With $1,200 and a trip to China via "China Clipper" offered as prizes, an essay contest on the subject of "Our Stake in the Future of China" was announced yesterday. It is open to all university students.

Believing that a country with as large and varied interests as the United States should be interested in what happens to China, the China Essay Contest Association, sponsors, will stress the importance to American interests of a strong, free, and independent China. Further information about this contest, which closes June 30, may be obtained at the CRIMSON.
