George H. Johnson '73, One of Oldest Alumni, Dies in Ohio

One of Harvard's oldest alumni, George H. Johnson '73, died yesterday at Cleveland at the age of 89. He was a retired professor of history and economics at Case School of Applied Science.

After graduating from College with honors in 1873, he received his theological degree from Andover Seminary the next year, and in subsequent years, held pastorates in churches at Lowell. Taunton, and Amherst.

He first accepted the Case professorship in 1909, holding the position until 1928 when he retired.
