Riding on top of a creditable season's record of nine wins and three losses, the Yarding debating team tomorrow travels to Hanover to compete in the annual Dartmouth Invitation Tournament over the weekend.
Picked from a large number who tried out for the five positions, the team will consist of Harold M. Bailin, Curtis A. Bush, Stanley M. Garn Robert P. Ulin, and Richard L. Weinberg.
The team must be prepared to speak either for or against the subject: "Resolved, That the government should own and operate the railroads."
President Thomas Matters of the debating society has planned four more debates before the end of the season to be held with Radcliffe, Bates, Brown, and the annual H--Y--P Triangular Debate at Princeton May 18.
