Harvard-Yenching Institute Works On Unique Lexicon

After three years of preliminary work on a new Chinese-English Dictionary, the Harvard-Yenching Institute has now assembled in Boylston hall a working collection of more than 2,000,000 cards containing entries from seventeen of the most important Chinese dictionaries.

At the present time there is only one other dictionary of its kind in existence. When completed, the set of volumes will contain material seattered throughout many Chinese dictionaries, as well as many words contained in no other lexicon.
