Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
When the wrestling team journeyed to Syracuse yesterday for the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling matches, they were still suffering from the outcome of the Yale meet. With two men out of the 175 pound class, Longcope and Lewis, it falls to the lot of Aldrich to fill the gap, and the fact that Thomas has gone down to 145 means that Tyng will have to fill in at 155.
At first sight it would seem that the team has been vitally weakened. Actually it hasn't been weakened particularly, because in a multiple meet of the sort that Easterns are, the strongest teams are the teams with the greatest number of individual standouts. The Crimson can claim four. It could claim five if it were not for the fact that Jim Redmon has a trick shoulder.
Penn State, Lehigh
Once again the optimism of such an outlook is smashed when a simple look at past records will show that the two strongest teams in the Easterns, Penn State and Lehigh, have divided matches between themselves evenly so that their high points were not spread out.
However, it is true that for the first time in a good many years the Crimson stands a chance of triumphing, with Ted Schoenberg at 121, Jim Redmon at 128, Bruce Richardson at 136, Dick Thomas at 145, Bill Daughaday at 165.
The other weights are not so strong but they are likely to be fairly effective. Tudor Gardiner may turn in one of his stellar performances at unlimited if he shows well against Pickett and Hooper. Aldrich and Tyng both have tough sledding because of their relative lack of experience.
Whatever, the outcome will be in the matches that are wrestled off Friday and Saturday, it is certain that the Harvard representation that is going to Syracuse is the strongest in a good many years, with three really top contenders for individual crowns in their weights--Ted Schoenberg. Bruce Richardson, and Bill Daughaday.
In fact the team is so good that for the first time in many years, a potential varsity man, like Ray Stone, is being left behind. Be is only a Sophomore but he has shown well in his record, and he has turned up some good wins for the team in the past. Pete illman is staying behind for the combined reason that he would have difficulty in getting his weight up and the fact that his wrist has been causing him a lot of trouble.
