BROWN LECTURES ON IBSEN

Large Crowd Drawn to First in Series of Eight Talks on Drama

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A capacity audience crowded Emerson D last night to hear John Mason Brown '23, dramatic critic of the New York "Evening Post" and lecturer at the Summer School, speak on Hendrik Ibsen, the revolutionary Nineteenth century dramatist.

This was the first of a series of eight Winthrop Ames Memorial Lectures on the Theatre. The foundation for this purpose was established in memory of the producer Winthrop Ames '95, by his widow.

In the second lecture, to be presented next Thursday, Mr. Brown will discuss "The Perfect Shavian--G.B.S."
