JOHN CONNOLLY NAMED NEW YARD POLICE GENERALISSIMO

John F. Connolly, of Arlington, has been named to lead the Yard Police Force, it was learned last night. A familiar figure to approximately 35 classes of Harvard men, Connolly has guarded the yard during the day shift with a zeal that has long commended respect from the various law-braking elements in the vicinity of the Square.

James R. Stewart, who was recently appointed Superintendent of Caretakers to succeed General Charles R. Apted '03, has announced that from now on Harvard's crime-detecting operatives will report to Connolly for orders. Henceforth the new chief is to have the title of "Captain," a rank he has enjoyed de facte lot a number of years.
