After 54 years of service John L. Taylor, auditor of the University, will retire next September 1.
Taylor will take a six months' leave of absence, starting March 1, and Gordon P. Gillis, assistant to the auditor, will become acting auditor on that date.
Roy V. Perry, assistant to the Bursar, will become acting Bursar on March 1. Wilford C. Saeger resigned as Bursar last fall because of ill health.
Auditor since 1922, Taylor became a clerk in the office of the Bursar, at that time Allen Danforth, in August, 1886. In 1910 he was appointed assistant comptroller of the University and he held that position until he was made auditor.
