Current "war literature" from England and Germany, including official press releases, air-raid instructions for civilians, pamphlets for neutral consumption, and calls for volunteers in civil defense, has been placed on exhibit in Widener Library.

The German propaganda includes leaflets issued in several languages by the Deutscher Fichte-Bund, in Hamburg, and mailed to the United States via Siberia, and a German pamphlet, in English, criticizing the methods of growth of the British Empire.

From England there are posters calling for volunteer auxiliary firemen, women drivers of ambulances and fire apparatus, and also women to aid in city evacuation. Mimeographed press releases from the Ministry of Information describe the progress of the boycott and price control in India.
