Harvard's hopes of placing high in the IC4A track meet in New York City this Saturday were dealt a severe blow when it was announced yesterday that the Crimson captain's entry would have to be scratched because of a sprained leg muscle.

He hurt his leg in the Quad meet last Saturday, and the injured member has not responded to treatment.
