Cheek Fracture Keeps Hockey Goalie Out for Season; Willetts Unable to Play in Tiger Tilt

The Varsity hockey team's hopes of defeating Princeton and Yale this week received a staggering blow yesterday when it was learned that goalie Vint Freedley will be on the inactive list for the rest of the season because of a fractured cheek bone received in the Toronto tilt Thursday night.

Prennie Willetts, second-line playmaker, will be unable to take part in the Tiger encounter at Princeton tomorrow night, because of the same game shoulder which kept him in Cambridge during the Canadian trip.

Though Freedley's malar bone received a triple fracture in the first period of the Toronto game Thursday night, he played for the rest of the evening and in the Queens encounter Friday night. He learned on returning here that his face will be permanently disfigured if his cheek bone is injured again.

Abbot Fenn, Sophomore substitute netminder, has been slated to start in Freedley's place, though he probably will share the goal with George Schrafft.
