Winthrop, Kirkland, and Eliot Houses carried off the lion's share of the glory in the recent intramural boxing tourney, conducted Tuesday and Wednesday in the Indoor Athletic Building, and the entry list of 42 showed an increase or ten over last year's House fistic program.
In the finals, Kelly of Eliot flattened Bragg of Winthrop for the only kayo, but technical knockouts were registered by Regal of Kirkland over Hussey of Lowell, Polanski of Kirkland over McLaughlin of Dunster and Hinchcliffe of Winthrop over Cobb of Kirkland. Brody of Kirkland took the unlimited final by default. Franken of Winthrop got the decision over Roberts of Leverett; Passeneau of Eliot beat Ditrinco of Winthrop; and D'Autroment of Winthrop got the nod over his teammate, Kahn.
