"To fulfill the long-felt need for easily available good music," a group of Freshmen, headed by Nathaniel P. Lauriat '43, have organized a series of concerts of classical music, held at 7 o'clock on Sunday and Thursday evenings in the Union.
From the 120 interested listeners an executive board has been appointed by the Freshman Union Committee. Under the chairmanship of organizer Lauriat are Robert F. Kelkecheck '43, David T. Mintz '43, George W. Taylor '43, and Adam Yarmolinsky '43.
Over 25 Freshmen have expressed their willingness to lend works from their private collections; the organization has special permission to borrow from the library of the Music Department.
