8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
The CRIMSON opens its doors tomorrow night to undergraduates who are interested in its four boards: news, business, editorial, and photographic. Prospective candidates are asked to come to the building at 7:30 o'clock.
Freshmen interested in newspaper work may compete for either the news, business, or photographic board, while Sophomores may compete only for the editorial department. The news board activities cover reporting and news writing, while the business board involves all ad-writing, circulation and advertisement solicitation.
Also open to Yardlings is the photographic board, an opportunity to learn as well as to practice spot news and assignment photography. In this competition there is immeasurable opportunity for original as well as routine work with the added prospect of an audience for the work.
The only board that is open to Sophomores is the editorial board, which provides an outlet for undergraduates, ideas unparalleled in this or any other university. In addition to regular editorial writing, Sophomores are encouraged to try their hand at movie reviews, play reviews, and Vagabonds.
A special competition will start later this month for columnists. This is the first such invitation extended by the CRIMSON in some time, and any writers of special talents, whatever their field are urged to participate.
