Goalie, One of Best in League; Won Letter in Basketball Last Year

John G. Penson '42 of Long Island, New York and Lowell House was elected soccer captain at a meeting of the letter-men yesterday. Penson was the goalie on this year's soccer team and was rated as one of the best in the League. He succeeds David O. Ives '41 of Salem and Winthrop House.

He won his soccer letter last year in addition to a basketball letter. As a Freshman, he was awarded numerals in basketball and soccer. He prepared for Harvard at St. Paul's where he participated in soccer, basketball, track, and baseball.
