DEAN CLAMPS DOWN ON BILLY ROSE'S BEVY OF BEAUTIES

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Billy Rose made good on his offer of providing scantily clad girls to test Harvard students for Professor Sorokin's Genius Test; but official Harvard conservation turned thumbs down yesterday.

In reply to a request from the Committee of the Freshman Christmas Dance, Rose offered to "send up six beautiful girls who will sit there scantily clad for seventy-two hours, if you can match this with six bona-fide Harvard students prepared to resist these temptations."

The Dean's office, however, refused to sanction the plan, which Rose called "a national laugh," as too risque and not befitting a Harvard social affair. With their feature attraction annulled, the Dance Committee is attempting to engage some celebrity for the evening.
