ST. PAUL'S SEXTET MARS CLEAN RECORD OF YARDLINGS, 3 TO 2

Tough breaks and a strong St. Paul's six nosed out the Yardling pucksters 3 to 2, in a see-saw battle at the Madison Square Garden in New York yesterday afternoon.

Although the previously unbeaten Freshmen captured an easy 2 to 1 lead, by the end of the second period their opponents equalized the count with a tally early in the third period, and another goal two minutes later enabled St. Paul's to take out a victory.

Evarts, assisted by Taylor, drew first blood with a goal late in the opening canto. St. Paul's evened the score at 5:02 in the second-period, with Harmon assisted by Mechan and Ordway, but Harvard drew into the load eight minutes later when Beebe, assisted by Benton, netted the puck. But the schoolboys' two scores early in the last period spelled defeat for the Yardlings, and they were never able to turn the tide.

Al Evarts, Marcus Beebe, and Captain Al Reeves played a bang-up game for the Freshmen, while Harmon, Meehan, and Ordway starred for St. Paul's.
