Ketchum Is Second Marshal; 16 Seniors Elected Members

David K. V. Golding '41 of Brooklyn, N. Y., and Dunster House was named last night to the coveted post of First Marshal of Phi Beta Kappa as the society's eight undergraduate members met in Lowell House to elect officers and to bestow the gold key on 16 additional members of the Senior Class.

Other officers chosen were William Ketchum '41 of Lowell House and Evanston, Illinois, Second Marshal; and Julian C. Eisenstein, of Lowell House and Warrenton, Missouri. Ketchum is a member of his House committee, while Eisenstein, a national scholar, is secretary of the Mathematics Club.

Handelman Eliot, Mathematics; John M. London, Dunster, Government; Horace G. Lunt, 2nd, Lowell, German; Harry K. Mansfield, Dunster, History:

Langdon P. Marvin, Jr., Eliot, Government; Jere J. Nelson, Winthrop, Chemistry; Albert J. Novak, Leverett, Physics; Gilbert N. Plass, Winthrop, Physics; G. Robert Stauge, Lowell, History and Literature; M. Woodrew P. Strandberg, Dunster, Engineering Sciences; Dwight D. Taylor, Lowell, English; Emmanuel G. Weiss, Dunster, Government; and Richard B. Wolf, Dunster, Economics.

The new batch of key-men brings the undergraduate membership of the Society up to 24; eight members of the Class of 1941 were elected to membership last March.
