In defense of his country's confiscation of the oil lands of American companies, Reverend Efrain Salinas y Velasco, Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church of Mexico, explained the domestic and foreign policies of Mexico to about 50 students and Cambridge residents at Philips Brooks House last night.
Bishop Salinas emphasized that the Mexican government had no choice but to take over the property when the oil concerns disobeyed the order of the Supreme Court to improve the wages and housing conditions of their workers. He stated that Mexico is a democracy striving for popular equality and desiring the friendship of the U. S.
