HARRIERS OUTRUN INDIANS, WILDCATS, FOR THIRD SUCCESSIVE WIN OR SEASON

Coach Jaakko Mikkola's harriers continued in their winning ways, scoring a decisive victory over Dartmouth and New Hampshire in a triangular meet over the Charles River course yesterday afternoon.

Led by Captain Langdon Burwell, who copped second place honors, the Mikkolamen were low with 27 points. The Indians, far out of the running finished second with 55 points to nose out the last place Wildcat runner, who scored a total of 61.

Joe McLoughlin forged ahead from the start and led for the early part of the race, but Burwell and Dartmouth's "John" Bull took over the lead late in the race.

The Hanover star crossed the line in first place by two yards. The winning time was 22 minutes and 45 seconds and Burwell's time was two seconds slower.

Fourth place honors went to Kirk of New Hampshire with Bob Nichols of the Crimson close on his heels. Sambold of the Wildcats and Harmen of the Indians were next in order.

Three Mikkolamen then clacked the win for Harvard by copping at the remaining places. Bob Jay, Rogers, and Ed Cook took eighth, ninth and tenth places respectively.

Basing his hopes on the showing his team made yesterday Coach Mikkola afterward expressed optimism about next week's Big Three triangular meet with Princeton and Yale. "We have as good a chance as anyone," the genial Finn assorted.

The Freshman runners, led by Captain Bill Palson, placed second to Dartmouth over the short course.
