New Deal Utilities Expert Speaks Tonite; Boston Youth Meet Tomorrow

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Big doings are scheduled in the Democratic camp today and tomorrow with an outstanding member of the New Deal speaking before the Harvard Lawyers for Roosevelt Committee in the New Lecture Hall tonight and a mass meeting of young people planned for tomorrow at Fanueil Hall to celebrate National Youth Day.

Solicitor-General Francis Biddle '08, the Administration's representative in the support of the T.V.A. against the private interests, will address the meeting tonight at 7:30 o'clock on the subject "A Lawyer Looks at the New Deal."

Probably About Utilities

Since Biddle's chief interest lies in the field of public utilities, his talk will probably be built around that theme. It was he who opened the Roosevelt campaign in Seattle this fall with an attack on Wondell Willkie's utility connections.

Joseph Broderick 3L, president of the Harvard Lawyers for Roosevelt Committee, will act as chairman at the meeting.

Tomorrow night the Democratic youth of the Boston area will gather at the historic Fanueil Hall for a rally to mark the Youth Day which was declared by the President. After a program of speeches the celebrants will hear President Roosevelt's talk over a loud speaker system.

Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. 2L is in charge of the Harvard arrangements for the Boston rally.
