All students who pride themselves on their waltzing ability will get their chance Monday night when the Boston Birthday Ball Committee, sponsors a College Waltzing Contest at the annual President's Birthday Party, held for the benefit of infantile paralysis victims.
One student from each college in the Greater Boston area, including Harvard, and one member each of the Vincent Club and the Junior League, will be chosen for the finals and the winners will compete in the Boston Gardon before the Birthday Party crowd to the music of Isham Jones.
Entries for the University contest are being received at Lowell Q-11 or at Kirkland 3783. Each entrant can pick any partner whom he wishes from any college he wishes.
Mayor Tobin, head of the Birthday Ball Committee, will present the final winner and his or her partner with a silver loving cup.
