Archibald MacLeish, Curator of the Nieman Colection of Journalism, has been nominated by President Roosevelt to fill the post of Librarian of Congress.
In his press conference yesterday the President revealed that MacLeish's name will be included on a list to be sent to Congress for confirmation today.
A noted contemporary poet as well as a journalist, MacLeish graduated from Yale in 1915, and from the Harvard Law School in 1919 after two years as an army captain during the World War. He came to Harvard last fall to coordinate the work of the Nieman Fellows in journalism.
