AGAR WILL ORATE FOR ANNUAL P.B.K. EXERCISES

Herbert Agar, Pulitzer Prize winner in history and associate, editor of the Louisville, Kentucky Courier-Journal, will be Phi Beta Kappa orator at the annual exercises of the Harvard chapter, in Sanders Theatre, June 23, during commencement week. Mr. Agar won the Pulitzer Prize in 1933 with his book "The People's Choice."

The Phi Beta Kappa Poet will be John Crowe Ransom, Professor of Poetry at Kenyon College, Ohio and author of several books of verse.

Presiding at the exercises will be Judge Learned Hand, '93, of New York City, President of the local Phi Beta Kappa Chapter.

The exercises are open to the public without charge. Tickets for reserved seats may be obtained from the Secretary of Phi Beta Kappa, Russell T. Sharpe '28, University Hall, Cambridge.

The exercises will be broadcast internationally by the non-commercial shortwave station W1XAL, of Boston.
