First Inning

YALE-Loved hoisted a high foul to Luplen. Grondahl threw out Alter third to first. Healey tossed out Collins, pitch to first. No hits, no runs.

HARVARD--Johns filed out to Stevens in deep left field. Gannett best out an infield tap to Besse at third base and stole second after Grondahl had looked at a third strike. Lupien lifted a high pop foul to Besse behind third base. One hit, no runs.

Second Inning

YALE Hazen get life when Keyes bobbled his bounder, and Holt sacrificed him on to second. Besse was safe when Keyes' high throw pulled Lupien off the bag, Hazen taking third on the play. Wood walked, filling the bases. Hazen scored on a fielder's choice as Keyes threw out Schroeder at first. Healey threw out Stevens. No hits, one run, three errors.

HARVARD Hoye singled sharply to right and took second when Holt fumbled the ball. Tully scratched a single over second and advanced Hoye to third. After Tully stole second, Fulton bit a grounder over second which scored Hoye and sent Tully to third. Then Tully was trapped between third and home trying to score on a delayed steal. Fulton took second on the rundown. Keyes walked and Healey singled, scoring Fulton and sending Keyes to third. Jones scratched a single to center to score Keyes and advance Healey to second. Grondahl fanned for the third out. Five hits three runs.

Third Inning

YALE--Loveday walked. Alter fanned. Loveday stole second and went down to third when Fulton's threw got away from Johns. Collins beat out a hit to short, but Loveday held up on third. Hazen went down swinging, and Holt grounded out. One hit, no runs, one error.

HARVARD Lupien beat out a bounder to short. Hoye fanned. Wood threw out Tully. Fulton walked and Keyes flied to right. One hit, no runs.

Fourth Inning

YALE Keyes threw out Besse. Wood filed to Gannett. Schroeder singled sharply to center, but Stevens went down swinging. One hit, no runs.

HARVARD--Healey and Johns drew walks. Gannett's short single to left loaded the sacks. Grondahl flied to left and Healey scored when Holt's threw hopped over Schroeder's head into the Yale dugout. Wood's wild pitch cleaned the bases, Johns and Gannett tallying. Lupien popped to short and Hoye fanned. One hit, three runs.

Fifth Inning

YALE--Loveday flied to Gannett. Alter watched a third strike sail by. Collins singled to right, and Hazen popped to Fulton. One hit, no runs.

HARVARD--Tully whiffed. Fulton flied to center. Keyes singled to center, and Healey fanned. One hit, no runs.

Sixth Inning

YALE--Holt fouled to Lupien. Besse fanned. Wood grounded out. No hits, no runs.

HARVARD--Johns was called out on strikes. Gannett singled, stole second, and counted on Grondahl's ringing triple to deep right center. This drove Joe Wood out of the box and Dud Humphrey, his successor, walked Lupien, but forced Hoye to pop out and got Tully on a grounder, first-baseman unassisted. Two hits, one run.

Seventh Inning

YALE--Schroeder looked at a third strike. Humphrey singled to center, but Loveday hit into a snappy twin kill, short to second to first. One hit, no runs.

HARVARD--Fulton got all the way to second when Wood dropped his liner. Keyes flied to center. Healey dropped a Texas leaguer over third base. Johns and Gannett flied out. One hit, no runs, one error.

Eighth Inning

YALE--Alter flied to center. Collins lined out to Hoye in left. Hazen tripled to left center, and Holt lined to Gannett. One hit, no runs.

HARVARD--Grondahl struck out. Lupien singled to right. Lupien stole second and went to third on Schroeder's wild heave. Hoye sent Lupien across with a single to right. Tully and Fulton flied out. Two hits, one run, one error.

YALE--Besse was out, Keyes to Lupien. Wood lined to Gannett. Schroeder flied to Gannett. No runs, no hits.
