With the announcement that Yardlings will be allowed to have girls as guests for two meals in the Union on Saturday, May 27, the plans for the Jubilee weekend near completion. Other late developments call for Jack Hill's band which will play from 3:30 to 6:30 at the tea dance arranged for the afternoon after the big Freshman affair.
According to Harry Newman, Chairman of the Phillips Brooks House Freshman Committee, which is managing the post-Jubilee dance, all Yardlings who have purchased tickets for the Jubilee itself will be admitted free of charge on presentation of stubs.
"Hills band played for the Smoker and was so well received that the committee is taking this opportunity of bringing him back again. We hope the free dance will alleviate the strain which the weekend might place on many Freshman pocketbooks," stated Newman.
