Despite Captain Mike Rice's double and long home run, the Yardling batsmen dropped a 8 to 2 decision to the Yale cub nine Saturday on Soldiers yield as enemy pitcher Tod Harrison, former Andover ace, fanned 20 of the Samborskimen.

The two Crimson runs came in the eighth when, after pinch hitter Burges Ayres rapped out a clean single, Rice came through with his four bagger.
