HARVARD OUT OF I.C.4A TRACK FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 1877

For the first time since 1877 Harvard will have no representatives in the I.C.4A track meet to be held on Randall's Island next Friday and Saturday, it was learned yesterday.

The decision was reached after it was discovered that only two men, Torbie Macdonald and Scotty Campbell, would be able to attend. Before the Heptagonal Meet last Saturday, Coach Mikkola asked for a vote of those of the squad who would like to compete. He was answered by eight men, of whom only four had sufficiently good times to qualify, and pressure of exams forced Captain Bob Haydock and Don Donahue to retire.

Harvard has never failed to place in the 62 year history of the event. Only the fact that the meet is more or less of an anti-climax, coming as it does after four successive Saturdays of competition, has caused the change of policy.
