Meli Leads Samborski Nine To Victory Over Exeter, 3-2

With Guy Meli shining at bat and afield warriors added a fourteenth victim to their long string Saturday as they aked out a close win over a surprisingly persistent Exeter nine, 3 to 2, on the schoolboy diamond.

Meli accounted for two telling singles, once in the third and then again in the ninth, when he drove in Persons from third.

The only other scoring for the flamborski team came in the third frame when Captain Mike Rice drove in Meli ahead of him with a long home run.
