A smooth-working Varsity eight returned the trimming which Harvey Love's first-year crew handed it over a week ago with interest by pulling away from the Yardling boat by a full six lengths yesterday afternoon.

The distance of the race, which was a regular time-trial, was one and three-quarters miles, and the Jayvees finished four lengths ahead of the first-year men also.
