Henry L. Stimson, Elihu Root Jr., and Dean James M. Landis of the Law School paid tribute to the life and career of Elihu Root yesterday as they spoke at the dedication ceremonies of the new room in Langdell Hall which has been donated in memory of the great jurist and statesman.

Emphasizing the tremendous contributions that Root made to the field of law during his life in the legal profession and in the public service, the speakers addressed a large gathering of representatives of the Law School and of the Boston Bar.

The Elihu Root Room, which will serve as an informal reading room, was given to the University through donations by Henry L. Stimson, the Law School Association, and the class of 1913.
