WHITE TO LECTURE ON WEST

Editor of Emporia Gazette Will Give Three Lectures Here

William Allen White, noted American newspaperman and editor of the Emporia, Kansas, "Gazette" will speak on "What was the West" Monday in the first of a series of three lectures in the New Lecture Hall.

Part of the program was arranged by the University Committee on the Extra Curricular Study of American History. The lectures will be on "The Changing West."

Author of many books including the recently published "Puritan in Babylon," White will broadcast his Monday lecture and two others which follow on Tuesday and Monday, May 1 internationally by the non-commercial short wave station WIXAR, companion station to WIXAL, of Boston.
