Curtains Rise on "Give, Baby, Give" Tomorrow In First Public Showing

Pi Eta Club Production Satirizes Hollywood Life

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With the definite announcement that LIFE'S photographer Arthur Griffin will cover the show at its first public performance tomorrow night, the new Pl Eta Club production, "Give, Baby, Give" swings into action. First performance is tonight for the graduates, and the final one occurs Saturday evening; a formal dance will be held after the show tomorrow night.

The book for this year's production, which satirizes Hollywood from a bucolic angle, was written by Richard G. Door 3L, Charles G. Hutter '38, erstwhile star of the swimming team, and James H. Legendre '40.

Hot Baker's Dozen

Collaborating on the array of 13 new songs are Robert Gibson, who wrote all the music last year, and Stanley Sheppard '37, a graduate student in music who has had a year's experience in a Broadway music publishing house.

Three of the outstanding numbers are a gastronomic comment on amorous disillusionment, "Love is Like a Pickle in a Barrel," a modern love ballad, "Let's Agree to Disagree," and an original tango written and played on the accordion with the orchestra by tennist David S. Burt '40, entitled "La Camarisita" (The Cute Little Chambermaid).

Rehearsals have been directed, for the ninth consecutive year, by Paul G. Anderson.
