INSTRUCTOR CONDUCTOR HAVE TIFF OVER FARE IN TROLLEY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Riders on a drafty Mass. Avenue trolley car were startled out of their numbness last night by harsh sounds, of altercation coming from behind the green curtain that separates conductor from lowly customer.

As the sounds of strife grew louder and more intelligible, passengers perceived that the words "pay up" . . . dime . . . fare . . . tryin' to get away with something, huh? . . . No I didn't . . . paid before . . ." emanated at regular intervals from the conductor's sanctum.

One inquisitive student, as he rose to get out at the Square, peeped around the curtain, was surprised to see a rotund little conductor shaking a pudgy finger in the face of Government Professor Fritz Morstein Marx.
