Upset by Cornell Delays Dartmouth's Hoop Title; Green Tops Quad Hockey

Dartmouth's varsity pucksters provided the important action on the Quadrangualr League hockey front over the last weekend when they clinched their second crown in as many years by virtue of a 4 to 2 victory over the men of Eli in a game played at New Haven.

In the other game on the schedule, the Crimson pucksters fought their way to a 4 to 3 overtime victory over Dick Vaughan's sextet in Tigertown. This sent the Hoddermen into second place in the Quad League standings, but they do not have a mathematical chance of thwarting the Indians' bid for the title. The Crimson, however, may still top all American teams in the final International League standings. Dartmouth leads the Crimson by one point in the International at the present time.

McGill Pace-Setter

McGill is the current pace-setter in the League with seven victories against one defeat, while Toronto and Queens are lodged in a second place tie with six wins and three defeats apiece. Thus the Redmen need only one victory in their remaining two contests to carry off the championship. As it is, McGill's chance for the title is a virtual certainty, if not a mathematical one.
