Playing chiefly a defensive game, the Freshman pucksters bowed to a well-integrated St. Paul's sextet 5 to 2 yesterday at the Boston Skating Club's new rink.

At the outset of the game, Mechem, St. Paul's right wing, scored unassisted in 45 seconds. Al Chandler, Freshman left defense, drove the puck into the net in 1:35. Penetrating deep into enemy territory, center Walt Whittacker scored at 2:30 assisted by wings Dreher and Ayres. With St. Paul's tallying up two more goals, the score at the end of the first period was 3-2.

During the following two periods, the Freshmen, unable to score tried to keep their opponents out of Crimson territory, but could not stop two more St. Paul's tallies.
