Gaining the upper-hand early in the game, the Yardling basketball team smothered Tabor Academy 36 to 26 in a game played at Marion Saturday afternoon. The encounter marked the twelfth win out of thirteen starts for the Freshmen and smashed a record of eight consecutive victories for the Marion hoopsters.
The visitors went into an early lead to be on the long end of a 25 to 11 score at half time. High scorers for the Crimson were John Finegan and Bill Webber who tied for honors with nine points apiece.
